might just post a quick blog - funny word that blog????? dont know what it means i may have to google it, and you know what google means - it means infinity, there is no bigger number than a google, well thats what hubby tells me, and he thinks he know everything>>>>>>>>>

i am on a diet, so far it is working well, no pasta, potatoes, bread  and no high carb food. but it makes for tasteless eating, so i just pigged out on easy mac, while no one is home. LOL they wont know.

what can i jabber on about, i dont know so i will post a pic for you to see

this is me stuck in the mud last year in the enfield forest i was dared to go through it and we got stuck and had to get towed out, the mud just sucked me in, but it was fun up to our knees with mud. this was the day we nearly cleaned up some motorbike riders on the crest of a hill! they were hammering up the other side of the track, we could hear them but they couldn't hear us coming. could have killed them all, and as it turned out we knew them all. hubby says i should have been a man? cos i love driving and 4wdriving, shooting, golf, and fishing, and cars and all boy things. i can fix fences, drive anything, i have my semi license, bet you didnt know that? i have my chainsaw and gun licenses too. and i like beer..... i loathe cooking and housework, love dogs and horses.

my enter key is not working, looks like a another new keyboard is needed.

Brock has 7 stitches in his foot he stepped on a piece of tin the other night A 1.30am trip to the hospital, he was with friends so they took him. i am taking him to the doc on Monday cos he cant move his big toe. first time he had had stitches in his life, never had a broken bone either, touch wood he doesn't. after all the motor biks and paddock bomb stacks he has had its a wonder nothing has been broken, i have taken him to emergency on many occasions since he was 7 and taught himself to drive in a mini bus with the seat pulled forward and a manual gearbox. !! he has had so many motor bikes over the years i have lost count i must go out the shed and count them, i reckon there would be 15 or more out there in bits n pieces. from 4 wheelers i know there is 3 of them, to pocket bikes to 250,s they are everywhere we have 4 sheds and there are bits of them all in each one. anyway i might be off see  you all again soon xoxoxoxoxo

hey guys, sorry i have not been a very good blogger, smack smack......

ther have been so many things happening it is even hard for me to catch up on my life ATM, currently i am listening to Margaret Urlich after midnight. I have so much energy, hubby is asleep on the couch as usual. My son Dylan the personal trainer put me on a diet , seeing as i have been up to the gold coast to see him recently, and i am so full of energy, even after a few cans of VB i am still alive.. way to go Dylan.. I love you so much.

a weekend of fishing and for, the first time we have been away together since we can ever remember either it is him and the kids and me stay home to look after the animals. anyway we went up there to go out deep sea fishing, and oh my it so awesome i have never been out in the open ocean b4 i need a new keyboard, this is shitting me to tears

the swell was at least 20 meters but i am not much of a judge of length or height etc, but when the boat lurched i could feel the water by just having my arm over the side  1 of the guys caught a dolphin fish, it was amazing the colors, just my colors, blues, purples. i cant share a piuc just yet cos brock broke my camera usb where it goes in the camera, just like he breaks everything else precious to me, those that know me will know this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway i am getting the music bug, sounds like i am about to get back to my own life, well lets see if i can, plz let me, i want to be released. from these shackles and  get back to me, it seems like it has been a long time since i have had me time, the 2 weeks i spent up qlkd on my own with dylan and alicia set me free.

oh and i went fishing every morning i could i have the fishing bug, i find it so relaxing, but busy as i am a busy person, cant sit still for a minute or two. i should be so skinny, ( I wish) thats enough blubber for tonight. thanks for reading,

hope it stops raining on the gold coast

hi there, 2 days to go b4 we head to the gold coast to stay with Dylan and Alicia, so looking forward to it, we are going marlin fishing Sunday, just hoping it doesn't flood up there, they are 2 streets away from a canal and 2 streets from the sea. My cousin  Sylvia lives in Ipswich she says they will be fine  - fingers crossed for them.

It rained all day here, pissed me off no end. I can tell you. Smelly wet dogs, who want to sit under my chair and follow me around all day yuK. I had to put the clothes in the dryer, and will have to wash the floors again, muddy wet teenager size 11 feet and dog paws x 5 dogs equals 20 x about another 20 times they came inside, or missy opened the door and let them in. she's a cheeky girl hates to be away from mum for more than 2 seconds. the horses hid in the new shed we just put up, and one of them had a pooh down the side of the hilux LOL twas so funny.

for those of you who don't know i made a bit of an investment in some $2- shop stuff, i needed to either get a job or do something - so i chose the do something thing. i am doing markets with the goodies, i have craft, kitchen, car, pet toys, bird cages, ornaments, jewellery and findings, make-up, hair ties, beads etc etc. they are selling well so far i have done 2 good markets, and starting to see my investment return the money, a long way to go though, b4 i get my money back and start making a profit. i went and picked up some more stock today, so my shed is getting very full. i have a permanent site at the big trash and treasure here in ballarat every Sunday, i have to leave here by 5am, that's the hard part as i like my sleep.

looks like i am back in the land of blogging. what have i done in the last 2 years, heaps and heaps but nothing specific comes to mind. lets talk about today, i got the house cleaning bug and washed the floor, what does hubby do, spill his beer on the floor.......grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Well he said the dog did it
Brock had his motorbike jump fixed up with a digger and tried to jump it today but it has been pouring rain and was too slippery, we will have to wait til the rain clears up for that.

I went to Queensland for 2 weeks to spend christmas with Dylan, it rained every day cept the day i came home, so no swimming in the sea for me, i did go in their pool a few times. i had hayfever all the time i was up there too. here is dylan, trav and shilo under the christmas tree just after santa did his business for the little kids Zenith and Lennox.

Just heard from some friends of ours on the phone we havnt seen for ages, off to have a chat.

this layout was for a number challenge on purplescraps I got ink pink and Stitching. The ribbon on the border is sewn on with the sewing machine. no tape

this challenge was looking through a window. this is the view from my craft room to outside with the 2 outer images from the kitchen window.

this challenge was you had to use 5 ribbons. i sewed them all on again with the sewing machine. this is my dog Micky, she is a girl and the best rabbit hunter i have ever had

Gee how did i get to the end of March?? who knows. My Birthday has come and gone. I had a good day with my Mummy, we went to an Antique fair. And had a lovely meal at the pub.

I got a dishwasher today, wow i don't know what i did before i had one - oh yes i did, the sink kept filling up with useless dirty dishes that's right.
and the maid was too slack to come in and wash them.!!!!!!!

Gosh Julie. I have two rubber stamps. Not Negotiable and a revolving date stamp. I think yours is incredible. How do you find time to do quilting etc along with all of your other activities.??

well I just make the time, who cares if you can't see thru the windows, the dirty dishes are getting higher, the washing smells, the dogs look hungry, can't see the floor thru dirt, and everyone has to make their own meals. ?? Just fit it all in when I can, I don't work, I have my own craft room, don't really care for talking gossip with the backstabbers, and like to keep to myself.. And of course love the Internet. Well that is just my life, hubby is good to me, as long as I have spent 5 minutes tidying up just before he gets home from work. Then all is fine.?? No seriously I just enjoy creating. I have a few thousand stamps I get them all cheap from ebay. I do the junk shops, and sales and bargain bins. Rarely ever pay full price for anything.

I just do it, probably like someone like yourself playing golf, you just make the time to do what pleases us.

OLD FASHIONED COLLAGE ON AN A4 SHEET OF CARD

Hi look what I have been up to. I have sort of been working on this for about 6 months. didn't quite know what to do with it. i finished it this afternoon. - well it is an a4 page made with rubber stamp collage. It gets cut up into 9 ATC's and swapped. see i found a purpose for one of my experiments. pity i can't keep it, but ti have it on file. i will get another one in return.

The Cooking bug

well, my mum nearly fell off her chair when i told her i made plum jam - I will let you in on a secret

I haven't had the cooking bug for about 8-10 years now. See my husband is one of those that likes the woman chained to the sink - don't tell him i said that?? So of course I rebelled??

One day the gas bottle ran out on the stove, so that was the end of my cooking days, gas bottles are about $100. for some reason, not sure what - we never got around to getting a gas bottle for about 3 years. i cooked on a portable electric hotplate and the top of the coonarra for those years. So my passion for cooking was left by the wayside. I always wanted an electric stove, and last Christmas, a year ago my 19yo son bought me an electric stove - took about 6 months and $500 to get it installed. the first thing i did was cook lasagne, and went out for a bit come back to spilling lasgne all over the bottom of the stove, not quite sure why it didn't burn the house down? and it damaged the enamel on the bottom of the oven.

Any, just recently a couple of weeks back I git given a beautiful bag of black plums, so what do you do with a bag of soggy plums from sitting in the sun in the car all day? well, i had never made jam before, so i made up my own recipe, put the plums in, cover with sugar add a little water and some freh lemon juice, and a couple of hours later we have plum soup.? and an hour more to pick out the pips and the skins well that's what it turned out to be. jamsetter my friends tell me is the thing to buy. But it is nice anyway. So I ventured onto the bag of nectarines, chucked them in the sale way. spent more time picking out the pips and the skin. but anyway they were nice heated up with icecream.

Then I my 19yo son again gave me a bread maker for last christmas - giving me the hint i think. so i bought the breadmix, yeast, bread improver and ventured even further into why i stopped doing this cooking things years back? well, they told me the chooks will like it? Nice while it is hot or just warm, but no good the next day. I am trying to improve the fine art of breadmaking, might have to google it?

T'was other son's birthday yesterday, i didn't have the ingredients to make a cake so I made him damper the first time i even ventured into damper, gee i'm getting good he loved it.
Flo Bjelke helped me cook a terrible batch of toffees, so we threw them out and Margaret Fulton helped me make a JAW BREAKER batch of bright red toffee. I had just finished making them and hubby comes in and says I am the expert toffee maker - see he used to make it for his younger siblings and his children when they were young (before me). So anyway I passed the task with a big tick.

I have been busy making Atc's cards, and a bit of scrapbooking, lately i went to a class last friday and found this brilliant cards stock with squares punched out - the easy way to make a mosaic. I have been experimenting, not showing you yet til i have mastered the art OK.

That will do for today - I have got more to brag about but, better get some of the housework done - well maybe NOT.

apart from that, well a big limb came down and smashed my shade house to smithereens. I had 4 baby ferrets, sold 2 already. Dylan's mate had a car crash and is in hospital in Melbourne. Gareth had someone smash his windscreen with a rock, so I have no car or ute for a few days til we get a new one. Brock hates going to school I am having so much trouble getting him out of bed. Paul is getting better after his slight stroke. He had another episode at work the other day, so has decided to give up drinking - NEVER HAPPEN???????????? The male sheep are in the freezer, yum. We had a bat inside the other morning, don't know how it got in but it found its way out the front door.

I finally have my wedding and engagement rings fixed and on my hand, on the right of course!! I had to have them cut off my ring finger in 1996, that is how long it has been since i wore them THANX MUM.

Steely Dan concert

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the Steely Dan concert in September, my best friend bought 2 tickets for Rohan her hubby to go to the concert, you know the one i made the quilt for?? Well Karen didn't want to go after hearing their music she decided she didn't like them - so here comes Julie - i will go, and yes it was a great night, we went to Gopals the hari Krishna restaurant in Melbourne YUM YUM. then did the walk to the tennis centre along the yarra. i had to sit and have a rest half way, and was sitting on a bench seat looking at the water and got the fright of my life, this silly bicycle rider came passed me and frightened the
out of me, i felt the wind of the speeding rider pass my face, i screamed of course and everyone looked. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
the concert was fantastic, it was great to listen to their songs and take me back in time. the only song they didn't sing was Rikki don't lose that number. I wanted to reflect what was happening at that time in my life. Isn't it funny you - well i can- listen to a song and remember what and where you were at that time it was a hit.

Ok, where was I last post.

We, hubby son and me headed off to Port Vincent South Australia for a few rushed days. 12 hour car trip, wow is it a long way or what. I was lucky enough to meet another of my cyber mates on the way over, Chelle you are a gem, and your family ROCK. Great to have met you. the little Nissan Pulsar ran like a dream, the only thing happened was the wiper blade blew off in extremely heavy rain, and we had to stop to fix that.. the trip through Adelaide town was a bit difficult, there had been a truck accident and we were diverted from the main road, so we got lost of course, only ever having been there once before, we spent half hour, driving around and around, going in a ll diresctions, until i mentioned to hubby, "why don't we ask someone" Dah. well he did, we were on the right road as it turned out, to get out of the city. "T'was hubbies turn to drive" dumb bumb..................................................
when we finally got to our destination, we had a lovely time partying with his family for the weekend, a few of the boys went midnight fishing off the pier., this little black duck slept the night away. Brock cut his foot open on razor fish, he took his shoes off, in the water after being warned to leave them on. Men have no brains. We went for a great walk along the beach on the Sunday, I love the beach. Then traveled the long trip home Monday.

gee, am i the worst blogger or what, august was my last reply. i have done so much in that time, i will have to look at my calender and catch you all up on the gos.



for a start, i went to a scrapbooking retreat for our forum purplescraps, in september, what a hoot, we had so much fun, it was awesome. especially to finally get to meet my cyber friends face to face. here are the girls, i will have to find another one because Melinda is not in it. I haven't labeled all my pix yet they still have numbers, sorry Mel. I learned loads of new techniques, like painting chipboard, using Bling. BLING BLING HELLO

I will load on some of my layouts i did while in Bendigo, not tonight though.

I picked up 3 of the girls at Tullamarine, we traveled in the little red DEVIL - my car - well we squeezed in. funny as, you had to be there. LOL we drove up to Bendigo, and stopped for lunch at St.Arnaud at a lovely bakery for lunch YUM. Then we headed off again, to be pulled over by this silly old man in the middle of the road lost and looking for directions, Me the country chick pulled over and gave him the directions, I hope he found where he was going because I was only guessing.????? The girls thought i was crazy, stopping for a stranger, but i would do it again.
We stayed with the lovely Kaye, and talked all night like young school girls. We all felt like we had known each other forever, it was a fantastic weekend.
it's getting late and we are having a thunder storm, so i will sign off now and the next chapter will be soon i promise.
